Training
The Rehm Team philosophy in training barrel and speed event horses is that the horse needs to have a good solid foundation and be well broke before you add speed.  We have a covered, lighted arena on site for year round riding, as well as all the speed event equipment.

Lessons available – private or group.  Please call to schedule.

When time permits, we take in outside horses for barrel and speed event training.

A word from our riders...
"I feel completely confident and satisfied with Joe's training. I sent my gelding to him for beginning barrel training. Joe taught my horse the basics about barrels, and also taught me to properly cue him and gave me lessons once he was done.  I feel the foundation Joe put on my horse has been very valuable.  I would also like to say that my horse was ridden a lot, and came home in great condition. I highly recommend Joe as a trainer for both horses and people!  Thank you for all your help."

"I sent Joe my track broke horse for the winter to start on barrels and poles. While there, he was ridden six days a week and I was extremely pleased with his progress. I was so excited that we were loping the patterns in the spring...he was ready to go! He also incorporated lessons along with his training program. Judi took excellent care of my horse, in fact went above and beyond. I would definitely recommend them, in fact I was so happy with the results that when I picked him up, I dropped off my second horse for a tune up. Thanks Rehm Team!!"

"Over the years Joe has demonstrated a pattern of producing very successful horses."  He has a special talent for finding horses with potential and has the patience to bring them along slowly to make sure their full potential is realized."

"Joe has an endless supply of training techniques that have really helped me continue to improve my riding."

I got the opportunity to get some lessons with Joe, which helped me out a lot. He has great techniques and every lesson I take from him shows a big improvement in my riding. Alyson and Judi are also very helpful as well, giving out tips and pointers.

My 3 Year Old Paint Gelding, Sam,  was growing up well. He was tall and built to run.  But, after struggling a bit with him turning barrels, I decided to ask Joe to put time on him, and see if he could figure out how to get us over the hump.  I left Sam in the Rehm's capable hands for a month. After about 2 weeks, Joe had me come by for some one-on-one lessons to teach me what he'd been patiently teaching Sam.  At the end of Sam's stay, I definately had a much improved handle on my corners with him, and the progress since has been amazing.  I feel that Sam is going to be an outstanding Games horse, and I give Joe alot of credit for getting us through the issues that had us stuck. This summer Sam ran his first 23 second pole run, and several 15 second barrel runs, all of which were loping to the first turn.  Can't wait to see what happens when we actually runs.

Thanks Joe and Judi

Joe's big heart and firm hands made my filly a pleasure to ride.  The patience and consistency Joe used definitely made a difference.  She does everything I ask of her the first time.  I am very pleased with the training results.

Thanks for taking care of Josie like she was your own.
